The Elusive Company Vision

Looking Forward

Looking Forward

We all know (really we do) that a vision is vital to a business.  It is what keeps us going when everything else is not going so well!  While we know we need a business plan, many of us don’t have one.  But we can create a vision to help us move forward.

So, when thinking of your plan for 2010, ask yourself these questions:

  1. What do I want from this business in the next twelve months?
  2. How much money do I want to make?
  3. How much do I have to sell in gross revenues?
  4. How many clients in each of my product or service offerings does that mean?
  5. What are my expenses?  Are they high?  If so, how can I make them lower?
  6. How can I be more efficient in my operations?
  7. What am I going to do new this year that no one else has done in my industry?
  8. Does my team know these are our goals and how each of them plays into that?

If you just have a clear answer to these questions, you will be fired up for what you can achieve this year.  I have done mine and it made such a difference.  Go ahead, try it!  Let me know if it helped.
